I've been sleeping in these for a week and keep forgetting I'm wearing anything at all — the fabric is that light and soft. No zipper or buttons poking me when I roll over is a bigger deal than I expected. The relaxed fit doesn't ride up, which was my main worry.
The elastic waistband with the drawstring is the detail I didn't know I needed — I can loosen it just enough without the shorts sliding down overnight. No zippers digging into my hip when I roll over, which used to wake me up. These have basically replaced every other pair I own for sleeping.
I've honestly stopped waking up tangled in my waistband since switching to these. The elastic band sits flat against my hips and there's zero button digging into my side when I roll over.
